Girls’ Day – Visit by a schoolclass from BRG19 to the Neulinggasse site

As part of Girls’ Day on 23 April 2026, GeoSphere Austria offered around 20 pupils from BRG19 an insight into the work of female scientists in the fields of geology, geothermal energy and raw materials.

In three interactive sessions, the pupils learnt a great deal of interesting information about geology, geological mapping and rock identification. They also saw the importance of our subsurface illustrated through two examples from our everyday lives – heating and smartphones.
