GeoERA Projects

GeoERA (Establishing the European Geological Surveys Research Area to deliver a Geological Service for Europe) was a network funded by the European Commission between 2018 and 2021 as part of Horizon 2020 ERA-NET, in which 45 national and regional geological services from 32 European countries implemented 15 projects on geoscientific topics in the fields of raw materials, geoenergy and groundwater as well as a special project on information management (the GIP project).

MRI Projects

The sustainable supply of mineral raw materials is an indispensable foundation of modern societies. Knowledge of the formation and distribution of mineral raw materials is a basic prerequisite for the targeted and successful search for new deposits and for securing and producing the required raw materials. Raw material geological research in the Austrian federal territory is one of the central tasks of GeoSphere Austria.
