Sustainable groundwater management in the Czech-Austrian border region

The aim of the project is to determine the causes of the observed decline in the groundwater level in the border area between the South Moravian region and Lower Austria and to propose measures to address it. This decline can have various causes, such as climate change, reduced precipitation, increased evaporation, or increased groundwater extraction. Depending on the identified cause, proposed solutions will then be submitted to state and local authorities.
