Re-evaluation of Aerogeophysical Data with a Special Focus on Potential Mineral Deposit Areas
In this project, the extensive aerogeophysical data of GeoSphere Austria are being reprocessed and made publicly available in a modern and standardized form. The goal is to make these national geodata efficiently usable and to significantly improve access for research, industry, and exploration.
The initial focus is on survey areas in potential mineral deposit districts, particularly those covered within the framework of the Exploration Initiative. The workflows developed for data processing, analysis, and dissemination will later be applied to all surveyed regions.
In addition to technical reprocessing and documentation, interpreted products such as gridded datasets (Grids) and 3D models will be created to enable optimal data use. Another key aspect of the project is the development of clear data usage conditions in accordance with the GeoSphere Austria Act (GSAG).
Through targeted publications and information events, the added value of the reprocessed data will be communicated, highlighting its benefits for various stakeholder groups.
