We offer expert advice on a wide range of topics related to air quality, air pollutant transport, and greenhouse gas emissions. Our services are underpinned by many years of experience and extensive methodological expertise in the field of environmental meteorology.

• Regulatory assessments: We act as independent experts for air quality protection (specifically the environmental assets air and climate) in regulatory procedures. Depending on the project, we may work on behalf of either the authorities or the project applicants.
• Planning: We support federal states, cities, and municipalities in planning measures to improve air quality and in quantifying greenhouse gas emissions. Using computational models, various project scenarios can be simulated to assess their impact on air quality. For example, we can calculate how specific traffic planning measures (such as rerouting a major road away from residential areas or restricting access for certain vehicle classes) are likely to affect local air quality.
• Information and analysis: We provide solution-oriented support to businesses and municipalities in analysing current air pollution conditions, addressing specific questions, and identifying the causes of issues such as odour nuisances, dust deposition, or other airborne substances. In this regard we are also available to present the results in or participate in public discussions with residents, local communities, and other stakeholders.
• Quality standards: We contribute to quality assurance in air pollution impact assessments in Austria by regularly organising workshops and providing specialised technical materials such as e.g. a guidance document for quality assurance of meteorological input data in dispersion modelling.
